Fleet Europe Days 2024
Fleet Europe Days 2024 was a standout event for Ayvens, set in the bustling city of Milan, where the future of mobility took center stage. As a key player in the mobility industry, Ayvens was at the heart of it all, discussing electrification, sustainability, and the digital transformation of fleets. Over the course of three days, we showcased our leadership in these areas, strengthened partnerships, and celebrated industry innovation. This event was not just about networking, it was about making tangible steps toward a more sustainable, efficient future for global fleets.
Here’s a look at some of the key takeaways from our presence at Fleet Europe Days 2024.Â
Ayvens-Wheels partnership renewal
A major highlight during Fleet Europe was the renewal of our partnership with Wheels. This collaboration, which enables us to offer unified, scalable solutions for fleet electrification and management across the globe, strengthens our shared commitment to supporting clients with the tools and expertise needed to navigate the complexities of today’s fleet landscape, with a particular focus on sustainability and innovative technology.
Our leaders take the stage
One of the event's focal points was the CEO panel discussion on Sustainable Mobility in the Digital Age, where Tim Albertsen, Chief Executive Officer, represented Ayvens. He joined an impressive lineup of industry leaders, including CEOs from Sixt, Leasys, Alphabet, and Arval, to discuss the future of electrification and digital transformation. Tim’s insights on the importance of adapting to regional needs while leading the charge on global EV transitions resonated with the audience as we look to provide the best solutions for our clients around the world.
Annie Pin, Chief Commercial Officer, and John Saffrett, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, also led a thought-provoking session on Navigating the Non-Linear Path to Electrification, addressing the all important question: Speed up or slow down? Their advice: be flexible. The market remains volatile, and businesses should think differently, perhaps smaller, less premium, or longer durations for their fleets. They also encouraged considering options beyond electrification, such as soft mobility. Their key message was clear, "Don’t be hasty". Take the time to find the right strategy, get good advice, and adapt your approach to match market conditions.
Inspiring diversity in fleet
The Inspiring Women in Fleet breakfast was another highlight, featuring our own Aurélie Lemaire, OEM Partnership Global Director, alongside other female leaders. Aurélie’s reflections on her career and leadership journey were both inspiring and insightful, emphasising the important role of diversity in shaping the future of mobility. Her story underscored Ayvens’ commitment to inclusion and innovation, and it was a powerful reminder of the strength diverse voices bring to our industry. "Creating pathways for diverse talent is essential to staying competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape," Aurélie shared during the panel. This aligns with Ayvens' ambitious goal of achieving 35% representation of women in leadership, reinforcing our dedication to a more inclusive future.
Strengthening relationships over dinner
The pre-event dinner on October 23 brought together not only Ayvens and Wheels but also our alliance partners SG Fleet and Mitsubishi. This dinner was more than just a networking opportunity, it was a chance to deepen partnerships and discuss shared goals. Tim Albertsen and Shlomo Crandus, Chief Executive Officer of Wheels, spoke about the future of our partnership and the collaborative efforts required to drive forward sustainable fleet solutions. Adding to the evening's significance, Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD, made a special appearance, highlighting Ayvens’ dedication to innovation and partnership.
Client engagement at the Ayvens booth
Our booth was a central hub of activity throughout the event, and it wasn’t just Ayvens teams engaging with attendees, our alliance partners Wheels, SG Fleet from Australia, and Mitsubishi from Japan were present as well. Together, we offered clients and partners a look at how our combined expertise is helping them navigate the transition to electric vehicles and optimise their fleets with real-time data insights.
Celebrating innovation for our clients
A major moment of pride for Ayvens came when the Business Intelligence and Consultancy team won the Supplier Innovation Award for their Right Sizing Tool. This tool is a game-changer for fleet managers, providing them with the ability to optimise their fleets in a way that is both cost-effective and environmentally sustainable. It was a well-deserved recognition of the hard work and creativity of the team, and a clear indicator of Ayvens' commitment to innovation in the fleet management space.
