Ayvens Group CEO, Tim Albertsen, wins Fleet Europe Hall of Fame Award for the second time
During the closing ceremony of Fleet Europe Days 2023, held on 23 November in Lisbon, Portugal, Tim Albertsen, group CEO of Ayvens, received the Hall of Fame Award for the second time in his career.
To date, Tim Albertsen is the only CEO to have won this prestigious Hall of Fame award twice, testifying to his remarkable contribution and leadership in the leasing and fleet management industry throughout the years.
Albertsen was first recognized for his contribution to the industry in 2017, while he was Group Deputy CEO at ALD Automotive. Upon receiving this award, Tim pointed out that although he was flattered by the recognition, the award wasn’t a “career-crowning” event, but more importantly an opportunity to shed light on how the teams at ALD Automotive helped to achieve success. He explained that what he likes about this business is that it is “a service industry. Ultimately, it's about people, not cars”. His dedication and leadership capabilities propelled him through various key positions within the Group, culminating in his appointment as the CEO of ALD Automotive in 2020. And it is as Group CEO of Ayvens that Tim received this year’s award.
Under his guidance, ALD marked a significant milestone with the transformative acquisition of LeasePlan finalised in May 2023, marking the beginning of a new era in mobility, in creating a leading global sustainable mobility player – Ayvens.
With 15,700 employees across 44 countries, Ayvens now manages a fleet of 3.4 million vehicles and recently reached a historical milestone of half-a-million funded Electric Vehicles, confirming the company’s position as the largest multi-brand EV fleet worldwide.
As highlighted by Fleet Europe, “the significance of this merger cannot be overstated. It not only solidified Tim Albertsen's legacy as a pioneering figure in the industry but also sets the stage for Ayvens to lead the way in innovative fleet solutions and customer service on a global scale.” Therefore, this award is “a testament to Tim’s leadership, dedication, and vision, which have transformed Ayvens into a global mobility powerhouse and reshaped the European fleet industry as a whole”.
