Ayvens signs L’Autre Cercle charter to promote diversity and prevent discrimination
We are pleased to announce that on 24 October 2024 we signed the L’Autre Cercle charter to confirm our commitment to further promoting diversity and preventing discrimination within the workplace.
Created in 1997, L’Autre Cercle is the leading non-profit organization for LGBTQIA+ issues in the workplace. The organisation launched in 2013 the Engagement Charter to propose concrete action for employers looking to incorporate LGBTQIA+ issues into their policies for promoting diversity and preventing discrimination.
By signing this charter, we are thus taking a step further towards our commitment to ensuring our LGBTQIA+ employees belong and feel welcome in our company. It reflects the value we place on diversity, inclusion and a non-discriminatory workplace, regardless of people’s identities or sexual orientation.
Over a period of three years, companies who sign the charter commit to setting up dedicated actions to:
- Create an inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+
- Ensure equal rights & treatment for all employees regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity
- Support employees who have been victims of discrimination in the workplace
- Measure progress and share best practices to advance the general workplace environment
These commitments are already reflected in our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion key initiatives:
- Ensuring Team Composition is diverse and inclusive and reflects the world around us. We have targets to ensure broader diversity in the top & in succession, and we have also systematized the recruitment process via diverse panels to avoid bias.
- Creating Ways of Working founded on inclusion, where everyone feels they belong. This includes initiatives like rolling out a global DE&I policy, enforcing zero-discrimination across the organization and ensuring we have the governance in place to realize our ambitions (the Pride & Allies Employee Resource Group, sponsors, ESG Board).
- Spreading Knowledge that is best-in-class and raises awareness about the issues that LGBTQIA+ colleagues face. This includes (mandatory) training, a global DE&I community and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Societe Generale group originally signed this charter in 2021 and renewed its commitment alongside Ayvens, Societe Generale Assurances and Boursorama on 24 October 2024.
