Legal Counsel

Would you like to combine your own expertise with stakeholders across the entire Group at Ayvens?  We are now looking for Legal Counsel to ensure that legal matters of the entity are addressed and handled properly and in compliance with the applicable corporate and regulatory governance and within the framework of the Global Legal Charter.

About the role

We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel to support business and operations in Legal and Compliance topics at Ayvens in Finland. You will join a highly skilled organization and have close cooperation with several departments and teams. You have legal colleagues in other countries in the region and you will actively interact with Group Legal Department. As an inhouse lawyer, you have the opportunity to work with various topics and broaden your knowledge to the mobility business.

Legal Counsel acts as:

  • trusted advisor to the local entity in helping to understand and mitigate the legal risks.
  • prime internal contact for any legal matters (except tax law) such as contract and civil law, competition law, corporate law, corporate governance, IPR, insolvency law, mergers and acquisition, etc.
  • local touchpoint for the (Legal) Regional Coordinator, the Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer, colleagues from the central legal and regulatory affairs team.
  • local coordinator of any contacts with internal and external stakeholders, such as regulators and other public authorities, law firms, notaries, administrators etc


Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensure the legal accuracy of our customer and vendor contracts
  • Support Sales in MLA development and negotiations
  • Support procurement in negotiations and writing of supplier frame agreement
  • Drive and support organization in legal matters including e.g. GDPR, AML, corporate governance
  • From time to time manage and/or participate in projects from a legal point of view
  • Keep the organization updated of changes in legal framework valid to our business
  • Have an overall risk awareness perspective to always minimize risk when feasible
  • Support organization in internal control programs relating to legal matters
  • Communication with HQ in legal matters

Your Experience And Background

  • Master of Law degree from a university or other similar education.
  • Experience of legal matters relating to finance or from transactional work in a law firm or inhouse legal position for couple of years.
  • Familiar with and experience from financing or leasing products is considered a benefit.
  • Excellent language skills in English and Finnish.
  • Team-spirited and open-minded with a positive attitude, easily building relationships with key internal contacts.
  • You are service minded and enjoy a constructive co-operation.

Compensation depends on the experience and background of the candidate, start level is 4.200 – 4.500 euros + car benefit and good bonus program.
