Job Purpose

• Perform month end reporting and analysis for key P&L items.

• Ownership of Balance Sheet reconciliations and customer specific reporting requirements.

• Ensure external reporting deadlines are complied with alongside internal head office key milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and Accounting

• Support with month end reporting and analysis on key P&L line items.

• Perform actuals vs forecast/plan analysis and present results in the monthly Finance Director review.

• Ensuring all external deadlines are met with good preparation.

• Responsibility for reporting and engagement with selected operational business areas on their performance.

Balance Sheet Reconciliation Control review:

• Understand key reconciliations and follow up any issues with the relevant member of staff and highlight any material issue to senior management.

Desirable Education & Technical Ability

• Educated to degree level

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified/ finalist or qualified by experience

• Excellent knowledge of core Microsoft applications (Word and Excel)

Desired Previous Work Experience

• A good understanding of financial reporting and balance sheets.

• Ownership of tasks and issues through to completion

• Confident and assertive, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

• Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and work pro-actively

• Ability to prioritise, plan and meet deadlines

• Experience working in a business with a centralised group finance function
