Our workplace charging solutions
We know different fleets have different needs, so we are focused on providing full turnkey charging solutions that we tailor to your needs. These can even be modular, so they can be the right size for your current needs and then grow alongside your business. We’ll work with you from design to deployment, as well as supporting hardware, software and ongoing management.
If you’re looking to install charging points at work, there is funding to support the cost. It’s backed by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) and called the Workplace Charging Scheme which could cover up to 75% of the hardware and installation cost (up to £350 per outlet).
There are a few restrictions, but they are mainly around the type of building and the location of the parking space.
- For the type of building: restrictions apply for listed buildings, monuments, conservation areas and installations within two metres of a public highway.
- For location: The funding is only for off-street parking spaces that are clearly associated with your business.
The only other thing to remember is that if you rent your property, you’ll need the landlord’s permission before you go ahead.
Don't forget the tax benefits
You can also claim 100% first-year allowance for charging points, so the cost comes from your profits before tax. As an extra bonus, employees charging at work don’t have to pay benefit-in-kind tax for the electricity, even if they are passenger in the car being charged.
