Suvajit Karmakar
Country Managing Director India & Asia Sub-Regional Director of Ayvens
Suvajit Karmakar is the Country Managing Director India & Asia Sub-Regional Director of Ayvens. He has been working with us since 2005 where he joined as Country Head – Sales & Marketing and was elevated to the position of the Chief Executive Officer & Whole Time Director of the Company in January 2013.
Prior to joining Ayvens (formerly ALD Automotive), he worked with Eternity Everest Ltd., Phillips India Ltd., Whirlpool India Ltd., ICICI PFS Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd.
Suvajit has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Pune University and is an MBA with specialisation in Marketing.
Sarvesh Joshi
Chief Financial Officer
Sarvesh Joshi is the Chief Financial Officer of Ayvens India. He has been working with us since July 2007. He has around 24 years of experience as a Qualified Chartered Accountant.
Sarvesh started his professional career with PAL – PEUGEOT Ltd in the Finance & Accounts department. He then worked with DyStar India Limited as a Financial Accountant for 3 years assisting the CFO in various activities and moved to Tech Pacific (India) Ltd. as Deputy Manager – Finance for the next three years. After his transfer of assignment to Asia Pacific Brands India Ltd, he worked there as Head – Finance for the next four and a half years.
Shoba Krishnan
Chief Administrative Officer
Shoba Krishnan is the Chief Administrative Officer at Ayvens India since November 2022. She is responsible for managing Internal Control, Compliance, Operational Risk, Credit Risk and Project Functions.
Shoba started her career with MaFoi Management Consultants Ltd. in Chennai, handling tax and processing payroll for their clients for around 2 years. Following that, she worked for a year as a Senior Executive - Accounts and Finance for Systime Computer Systems India Limited (a CMS group company), reporting to the CFO, taking care of Accounting and Finance operations of international subsidiaries and audit finalisation of Indian operations. Shoba joined Ayvens (formerly ALD Automotive) in 2005 as a Finance Manager, responsible for accounting, for about 2 years. She moved on to head Taxation from June 2018. Following which, she was appointed as Deputy CFO in October 2020, becoming a part of the Executive Committee.
Shoba is a qualified Chartered Accountant and an all-India rank holder in ICWA Inter.
Venkatesh K.
Director- Sales
Venkatesh K is the Director of Sales at Ayvens India. He joined us in 2005 as a Relationship Manager and was promoted to Regional Business Development Manager, South, where he developed the client base for Ayvens for 7 years. He was elevated to the position of Country Head – Sales in January 2013. He started his career as Technical Assistant in Bharat Electronics Limited, a Government of India Undertaking, in 1994. After two years, he started his journey as Sales executive and worked across several dealers of Maruti and joined Ravindu Toyota (dealers for Toyota Kirloskar) as Head- Corporate Sales. Venkatesh has a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Automobile.
Rakesh Bajaj
Director – Operations
Rakesh Bajaj is the Director of Operations at Ayvens India. He joined us in January 2015 as Head of Customer Service Delivery and was further elevated to the position of the Director Operations of the Company in August, 2015.
Rakesh started his career with Philips India Pvt. Ltd. in June 1995 as a Graduate Apprentice and grew the ladder to be the Assistant Manager, Customer Support for Consumer Electronic Products handling Madhya Pradesh and later Maharashtra. He spent almost eight years in the organisation. He then moved to Nokia India Pvt. Ltd. in August 2003 as Regional Service Specialist in the Telecom Domain. He was associated with Motorola India Pvt. Ltd. as the Regional Service Manager since September 2006 for two years and then moved to ESSAR - The Mobilestore Ltd., Mumbai as Head of Technical Services in May 2008.
Rakesh has done B.E. (Electronics) from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune.
Shashi Kodukula
Director- Digital and IT
Shashi Kodukula is the Regional CIO for Asia entities. He has been working with us since Jun 2006. He has 25+ years of experience as a seasoned IT professional. In his prior position, he was the Head of the IT offshore Delivery Center, responsible for the IT project delivery and global support for 35+ entities within the ALD group. Before joining Ayvens, Shashi worked with Datacons Private Ltd. & General Electric. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Vikram University, Ujjain.
Shalini Baveja
Director – Strategy, Organisation & Transformation
Shalini is a Strategy, Transformation and Marketing Specialist with experience in technology and car leasing industries. She incubates and leads Business Transformation initiatives, drives Business Excellence and Process Improvement agenda that deliver Business Growth.
She steers the organisation’s efforts to ensure authenticity of the Ayvens brand to ensure consistent and superior Customer Experiences that remain high on Say:Do ratio.
Shalini is leading the post-merger integration of ALD Automotive and LeasePlan in India and ensuring seamless harmonisation of the two organizations. She is also responsible for creating an affirmative action plan aimed at not only making Ayvens India a sustainable company but also helping its customers transition to sustainable mobility.
Prashant Puntambekar
Director – Car Remarketing
Prashant Puntambekar is the Car Remarketing Director at Ayvens India. With a tenure spanning over 20 years, Prashant has been instrumental in establishing our presence in India.
As the Car Remarketing Director, Prashant strategically drives revenue from used car sales, used car lease proposition and is responsible for the overall P/L of this function. His expertise spans Car Remarketing and leadership roles in India Commercial and Operations at LeasePlan India, encompassing sales strategy, growth initiatives, process re-engineering, and tech enablement. He has been a key member of the leadership team and think tank and has been instrumental in nurturing the fleet management business in India.
Prashant holds a postgraduate degree in Business Management and is an avid sportsperson, having represented his state at national level events in Table Tennis. His leadership at Ayvens India continues to shape the company’s success and growth.
Charu Dewan
Director- Human Resources
Charu Dewan, with around 20 years of experience, is a key leader at Ayvens India. Since May 2005, she has been at the forefront of strategic Human Resource Management for the Company and managed business stints in Customer Support and Asset Management functional streams alongside her HR domain.
Before joining Ayvens, she has worked for organisations such as Crompton Greaves in Nasik and Mumbai and GTC Limited in Delhi.
Charu has always focused on building strategic capabilities and cultivating a diverse, shared, empowering culture that have helped navigate change and transformation within.
Charu is a management graduate from XLRI Jamshedpur, specialising in Human Resources. As the HR Director at Ayvens India, Charu and her team is poised to make significant contributions to the company’s success.
