Charging solutions
When it comes to charging your electric vehicle, there's a lot to learn. To make your switch to electric mobility easier, we explain everything you need to know about the basics of EV charging.
Whether at home or on the road, Ayvens provides a comprehensive guide to all your electric charging needs.
How do you charge your battery at home, at work or at a public station?
Whether you're using a home charging point or a public charging point, it's easy to recharge your battery by following these simple steps.
Home Charging
Home charging conveniently allows you to wake up to a fully charged electric vehicle. But this is only possible in certain situations. If you are interested in charging at home, our teams of experts can help you define together the technical solution best suited to your situation, as well as present you with the tools to monitor your consumption related to your charging.
Public Charging
Need to charge on the go? Every year, public charging networks are expanding in Europe and beyond, especially in Luxembourg, which shines with its network that is among the most advanced in the old continent and particularly competitive prices. No need to worry about running out of battery life when there's always a public charger nearby. We've got everything you need to know about using public chargers, from speed and cost to using charging cards.
Charging speeds: How fast can I charge?
- The answer is – it depends.
Different types of charging points offer different speeds, and your electric vehicle will be limited by its ability to receive and convert that electricity. If your car has an 11 kW on-board charger and you plug it into a 7.4 kW home charger, you will only charge at 7.4 kW. The car could accept more power, but the charging point is limited. If your EV has a 6.6 kW on-board charger and you plug it into a standard 7.4 kW single-phase home charging point, you will be limited to charging at 6.6 kW because the vehicle cannot accept more power.
Power of 7.4 kW
- 50 kWh BATTERY7h45m
- 75 kWh battery10 a.m.
Power of 11 kW
- 50 kWh battery5h15m
- 75 kWh battery6h45m
Power of 50 kW
- 50 kWh battery53 min
- 75 kWh battery1h20m
Power 150 kW
- 50 kWh battery18 min
- 75 kWh battery27 min
This example is for illustrative purposes only, and charging times may differ from vehicle to vehicle. Generally, when the battery reaches 80% of its charge, the charging rate tends to slow down.
Leased charging devices
Ayvens Electric: 3 electric charging options
It is essential to choose the charging device that best suits your needs. Bad advice can very quickly lead to unnecessary expenses or lead to the installation of a charging device that does not meet the necessary capacities.
Public Charging
Public charging on the Luxembourg and European network is simplified thanks to the use of a badge, the Diego Mobility token. The latter offers access to more than 800 charging stations in Luxembourg and 200,000 stations across Europe, making it much easier for electric vehicle users to get around.
Smartcable
The Smartcable, as a home charging solution, is both cost-effective and fast compared to standard chargers. Connected, it also provides charging information, offering a convenient and affordable method to optimize the power supply of your electric vehicle.
Home charging station
Opt for a home charging solution with our charging stations. Designed for comfort and efficiency, they turn your garage into a personal charging station. Enjoy the best charging experience at home, without compromising on speed or convenience.
