Change of management in Ayvens Norway. Marius Paus appointed new Country Managing Director
After 24 years as Managing Director of Ayvens Norge AS (formerly LeasePlan Norge AS), Anders Ree-Pedersen retires and passes the baton on to Marius Paus. The change officially comes into force from June 1st, 2024.
Ree-Pedersen (64) has had his entire professional career with the company, and has been general manager since 2000. Throughout his long career, he has not only influenced the car leasing industry in Norway, but has also driven the company to unprecedented growth from 10,000 to 66,600 contracts and paved the way for Ayvens further future success. As a visionary and outstanding leader, Ree-Pedersen has not only shaped LeasePlan, but also the professional lives of those who have worked with him. He has also worked with the heir for 30 years.
"It is gratifying that the company is getting such an experienced and knowledgeable Managing Director as Marius, who is already in place and can take over the role in a smooth transition. The company has delivered brilliant results for many years, and I am convinced that Ayvens will continue to deliver at a high level under Marius Paus' leadership," says Ree-Pedersen.
Marius Paus (53) has been with the company since 1994, and held the role of Commercial DIrector since 2006.
"It is with great humility that I take over the management of Ayvens in Norway and really look forward to continuing the incredibly successful journey we have had under Anders' leadership. There have been many changes recently for us, we have new owners, a new name and a new brand, so it will be an exciting time ahead".
"I look forward to build stronger ties with the parent company and uniting both the global strategy with our local strategy. And we are lucky to have Olena Tymofiyiva here in the role of Deputy Managing Director. She brings with her important knowledge, expertise and culture from the other party when we were merged into one group. Now we will direct our focus forward and prioritize the right and important areas for our customers, our employees and our owners," says Paus.
"There is a challenging car leasing and car service market today in many ways, and it is important that Ayvens takes a position and continues to be a driver and a front runner when it comes to electrifying the business world with electric cars and electric vans, new digital solutions and other smart solutions that help make fleet management easier and more cost-effective for our customers," concludes Paus.
Record-result
Ayvens Norway had a very good year in the demanding market that characterized the car industry in 2023. The company delivered a record profit after tax of NOK 341 million (up from NOK 226 million in 2022). The good result is due to a higher interest margin combined with efficient operations and a good used car market.
Ayvens is Norway's largest buyer of new cars, electric cars and electric vans, and the fleet in Norway now consists of 66,600 vehicles (including NF Fleet), where customers range from large Norwegian companies in the private and public sector to individual private leaseholders.
