Electric SUV in coupe format
The third member of Volkswagen's ID electric family is the ID.5, a coupe SUV derived from the ID.4.
The ID.5 has the same length (4.60 meters) and wheelbase (2.77 m) as the ID.4, a more traditional model with which it shares the MEB modular platform.
In fact, the differences between these two models are concentrated only in the rear of the body, with a more pronounced roofline.
The ID.5 is a direct competitor to the Kia EV6 and the Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback.

More aerodynamic and bigger trunk
The aerodynamic coefficient of the ID.5 is 0.2 higher than that of the ID.4, reaching 0.26, thanks to the shape of the body.
The trunk capacity is 549 liters or 1561 liters with the second row folded down - 6 liters more than the more conventionally shaped “brother”. The body type has meant that the headroom in the rear seats has had to be reduced by 12 mm.
Inside, the ID.5 debuts an updated version of the ID.4 infotainment system, promising improved responsiveness.

GTX sports version
Unlike the ID.4, the ID.5 only has one battery option, with a capacity of 82 kWh.
This can be combined with three different engines, depending on the level of equipment chosen: the ID.5 Pro with 174 hp/128 kW; the ID.5 Pro Performance with 204 hp/150 kW - both rear-wheel drive; and finally a two-engine/all-wheel drive version with 299 hp/220 kW, capable of 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h, in the case of the ID.5 GTX.
