Iveco first appeared in 1975 after a merger of five existing companies, a fusion of Italian, French, and German brands. IVECO, an acronym for Industrial Vehicles Corporation, offers a complete range of commercial vehicles for the transport of cargo and passengers. The range starts from the lightest 2.8-ton vans for urban use to the 44 ton heavy vehicles for long distances and heavy loads. Based in Turin, Italy, its production plants in Europe, Brazil, Russia, Australia, Africa, Argentina, and China put out over 150,000 commercial vehicles each year.
