How can we help you?
Maintenance
Once the towbar has been installed, you or the installer must present the vehicle for its technical inspection straight away.
First of all, check your vehicle documents to see if you already have an inspection certificate and if so, how long it is valid for. In general, the following rules apply:
- If your car is fitted with a towbar, the first inspection must take place upon delivery of the vehicle. You will then receive a certificate valid for one or four years.
- If your vehicle is registered as a light goods vehicle, you must present it for inspection every year. For light commercial vehicles intended for special purposes, such as being hired out with a driver or driving schools, you must present your vehicle for inspection every six months.
We will send you or your fleet manager a reminder by e-mail one month in advance (based on the date of first registration).
You can always have your vehicle inspected without receiving an invitation to do so. The mandatory documents required for an inspection are as follows:
- Registration certificate
- Insurance certificate
An electric vehicle requires less maintenance. This is due to the engine's reduced number of moving parts compared to a conventional combustion motor, which therefore leads to reduced wear. Moreover, oil changes are a thing of the past and the vehicle does not have an exhaust or gears. In addition, the brakes are less susceptible to wear thanks to the regenerative braking capacity.
You can bring your vehicle for a technical inspection anywhere in Serbia. You can find an overview of all inspection centers in the booklet you received when handing over the vehicle.
The costs of technical inspection and vehicle registration are borne by Ayvens.
The fact that you haven't received an invitation to present your vehicle for inspection is not a valid reason to justify using a vehicle that doesn't hold a valid inspection certificate. You can present your vehicle for a technical inspection at any time without having received an invitation. It is your responsibility to check that your vehicle documents are in order and to keep track of when your vehicle inspection is due.
Make an appointment for you at the most convenient authorized service, taking into account the location you have chosen and how you want to organize the day. Your car will be inspected and serviced by experts, and original parts will be used. Invoicing is done directly between the authorized service and Ayvens. You don't have to pay anything yourself.
For minor, quick interventions such as topping up oil, AdBlue, windscreen washer fluid or replacing windscreen wipers or lights, you can contact a service point approved by Ayvens immediately. They will help you straight away. Find a service point near you [local website, if any].
We recommend that you have your car serviced before you go abroad or when you return your car to [local country]. If the mileage does not deviate too much from the next service interval (max. 2000 km), a service is permitted. If the difference is greater, you can always have the levels checked before you leave on holiday.
Recall campaigns are initiated by the manufacturer when an anomaly has been found within their brand for a particular model. In that case, the manufacturer will invite the drivers of such a vehicle to have the problem rectified as soon as possible by an official dealer. When you receive such a letter, please contact your approved dealer to find out whether this was rectified during your last service. If not, you can make an appointment immediately.
During the term of your contract, the costs of servicing, technical repairs and replacement of wear parts shall be borne by Ayvens if you have them carried out by a partner from our network. As a driver, you are responsible for ensuring that services are carried out on time.
Unforeseen costs due to the car not being properly maintained shall not be borne by Ayvens.
Some examples include:
- costs due to the failure to have repairs or services carried out on time;
- costs of damage caused by a lack of oil;
- costs due to you using the car in an irresponsible manner.
A complete overview can be found in the terms and conditions.
As a driver, you are responsible for ensuring that services are carried out on time. The vehicle's on-board computer will notify you when services are required, but you can also find the intervals at which they should be carried out in the lease car's service booklet.
You should also check the coolant, windscreen washer fluid, engine oil and the condition of the tyres on a regular basis. You can visit a garage approved by Ayvens for these minor interventions.
The garage will contact Ayvens for approval of the works and invoicing. You do not have to pay these costs yourself.
If you're unsure whether you can continue driving safely or if your vehicle is immobilised, call for roadside assistance. If this is included in your contract with Ayvens, you can call our Assistance department on +381 11 36 36 980.
If necessary, we will send a technician who will:
- fully repair the vehicle;
- carry out a temporary repair so you can drive to a garage safely
- tow the vehicle and arrange a replacement vehicle for you.
If you can still drive safely, you can request an appointment to have your vehicle repaired using My driver app. We will look for the best-placed garage in your region of choice for you.
The time needed for a repair depends on various factors (the cause of repair, whether parts need to be repaired or replaced, whether parts are in stock, etc.). The garage is best placed to inform you of how long it will take.
