Repair damage
All damages must be repaired before returning the car.
If your car suffers an accident, and is covered by a vehicle damage warranty, report it directly to the insurance company that handles your make of car. You will receive a claim letter with a case number and information about suitable workshops. For claims not related to the vehicle’s damage warranty, report the claim to the insurance company with which the vehicle is insured. Remember to report your claim without delay, as the insurance company may reject a claim if the claim is received later than 30 days from the date of the accident.

If the damage is minor and you can still drive the car safely then repairing it might not be immediately necessary.
